Pushpa: The Rise is a 2021 Indian Telugu-language action drama film[5] written and directed by Sukumar. Produced by Mythri Movie Makers in association with Muttamsetty Media, it stars Allu Arjun as the titular character alongside Fahadh Faasil (in his Telugu debut) and Rashmika Mandanna. The film received mixed-to-positive reviews from critics with praise for Allu’s performance and characterization, action sequences, direction, cinematography and score but criticized the supporting characters, runtime, technical aspects and predictability. The Rise was commercially successful, grossing over ?300 crore at the box office. The film emerged as the highest grossing Indian film in 2021, and ranks among the highest-grossing Telugu films of all time.
